Matru Shakti Vandana to be held in Belagavi today

Prabhakar Kore, president, KLE Society, will inaugurate Matru Shakti Vandana – Matrusangama, an event to celebrate womanhood, in Belagavi on Saturday.

It is being held as part of the Silver Jubilee celebration of the Seva Bharati Trust, that has been working towards women empowerment through various service activities. It will be held in Sant Meera English Medium High School in Anagol in Belagavi.

Annapoorna Devi, Union Minister for Women and Child Welfare, Gopal Hegde, Ayodhya temple construction committee coordinator, and MP Jagadish Shettar will participate in the event.

Tejaswini Ananth Kumar, President of Adamya Chetana, Bengaluru, and Chandrika Chavan, a businesswoman from Solapur, Spurti Angadi Patil, Director of Angadi Shiksha Sanstha, will be present.

The two-day event will have speakers like Renu Pathak of Rashtriya Seva Bharathi, New Delhi, and Vivek Kamalani, a businessman, Vidya Marakumbi, entrepreneur, Basavaraj Deshmukh, secretary of Sharanabasaveshwar Vidyavardhaka Sangha, Kalaburagi. A Seva Yatra exhibition will be organized on the school premises.

Trust Secretary Raghu Akamanchi told reporters that the trust was started in Hubballi in 1999 and had organised several social service activities and had coordinated with several NGOs and charities.
